INTRODUCING

MEC Individual Plan

A Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) plan was designed to meet the basic standards of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Many Americans were not aware of their personal health condition and were seeking care only after serious symptoms arose. Emergency room utilization rose considerably across the country.

MEC plans are designed to be affordable and cover essential benefits like preventative care and screenings. Routine wellness care is designed for awareness but may not offer the same broad coverage as a complete medical plan

The MEC was designed to avoid penalties by Employers while satisfying ACA. MEC plans can be purchased in the individual market.

Minimum Essential Coverage services plans cover Routine Well Care and certain Pharmacy benefits. Specific screenings are outlined under the Affordable Care Act and paid at 100%.

The Minimum Essential Coverage MEC offered provides for In-Network Preferred Provider only. National PPO Network First Health contains the largest Provider listing for your convenience.
